SA VALL, BEST WHITE OF THE BACO AWARDS 2021

The Spanish Union of Tasters has just published the best young wines of the 2021 harvest. The wine SA VALL 2021 Selecció Privada, from the celler Vins Miquel Gelabert, has been chosen as the best White. It is not the first time that experts acclaim this wine made mainly from the native variety Giró Ros, complemented by Viognier and Pinot Noir. Gelabert explains that it is fermented in oak barrels and that it is aged for 6 months on its lees, "we bottled it before sending it to the competition, but it will not be marketed for another 4 years," the winemaker clarifies.

For its part, the Macià Batle winery has received three gold medals for its Blanc de Blancs, Maceració Carbonica Negre and S SAUVIGNON BLANC and BLANC DE BLANCSrepeats one more year among the best wines of Spain. It has a coupage of Premsal Blanc (49%), Chardonnay (49%) and Moscatel (2%), and is one of the most awarded Mallorcan wines in Spain and abroad. The Maceració Carbonica Negre wine is a monovarietal of the autochthonous Mantonegro, while the Sauvignon Blanc is made from 100% of the variety that gives it its name.

It has also been awarded a SA FITA gold medal, from the Es Fangar winery, with a blend of Chardonnay (74.3%), Premsal Blanc (17.2%), and Viognier (8.5%).
